Free/Donation Based Yoga in Santa Monica
There are numerous free and donation based yoga classes in the Los Angeles area, so even in these tough economic times you can still find time to relax and do something good for your body. Here are just a few places that offer free or donation based classes (donation based is just that; if you cannot pay you will still be welcomed to join, so go do something nice for yourself!)
Lululemon Athletica At the Santa Monica Lululemon Athletica, Sensei Corbell leads complementary Warrior Yoga classes every Monday from 7 to 8:30 pm. This location also offers a running group/yoga stretch on Thursdays and NIA (a yoga/martial arts/dance hybrid) on Sundays. At the Beverly Hills Lululemon, rotating instructors teach a free Sunday morning class at 9:30 am, as well as various community yoga events throughout the week. Contact other locations in Calabasas, Pasadena and Newport Beach for more complementary classes.

Santa Monica Power Yoga Bryan Kest has a large and devoted following, and for good reason: while there is a suggested donation of $12, he offers his classes to anyone regardless of ability to pay (just give what you can and enjoy).

Yoga 4 Change Clothing of the American Mind offers a donation-based yoga class every Tuesday from 10am to 11am, with instructor Mollie Johnson. The best thing about these donation based classes is that the money you give will go to the charity or organization of your choice. How cool is that?
